Description
This is an excellent Cincinnati Hamilton & Dayton Railroad Adams & Westlake "Adlake" model locomotive lantern. This is an extremely rare item. It is a locomotive lantern, and "LOCO" is cast in the top rim. "C.H & D. Ry" is also cast on the rim. The lantern is a brass top lantern, and comes with a cast reproduction cobalt blue extended base globe with "C.H. & D. R.R." cast into the globe. No cracks in the globe, but there are a few "flea bites" on the rims where they fit into the lantern body. Nice fount, with a fine brass burner. The burner needs a wick, but we will include extra wick with the purchase. Patent dates of 1897, 1908, 1909, 1911, and 1912. An amazing, rare lantern that will be a featured piece in your collection!
