Description
1910 Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens JM Barrie Arthur Rackham COLOR Illustrated
“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
A fine early American printing of “Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens” by J.M. Barrie. The story of Peter Pan is one of most famous and beloved childrens stories of all time and has inspired some of the most enjoyed films, music, and plays. The story was originally published as part of “The Little White Bird,” but then the Peter Pan chapters were extracted and published as a separate work in 1906 with the Rackham plates as “Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens.”
This 1910 edition is bound in original green cloth with 24 color plates throughout by Arthur Rackham. This variant binding is considerably rare – while numerous examples of 1910 printings exist, this particular issue is quite scarce in comparison. (see below)
