Description
American Carved Mahogany "Gerster" Mantel Clock, 19th c., by E. N. Welch Co., the spindled crest over a time and strike clock, flanked by engaged turned and block applied columns, on a stepped base with a fancy glass mounted brass pendulum, H.- 18 3/4 in., W.- 12 1/4 in., D.- 6 1/4 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Normal signs of wear throughout including small nicks and areas of wear to finish. Face of clock is not sturdily attached. Some areas of wear to internal back panel where pendulum moves. Crack in top proper right decorative wood carvings. Shrinkage crack to top proper left front corner of case. Unable to test for working condition, winding key not present.
