Very large centerpiece, German, circa 1900, maker's mark Sy & Wagner, Berlin, silver 800/000, cruciform base with rounded sides on 8 pressed feet, straight wall with rich relief decoration, garlands, rosettes, musical instruments and floral motifs, centered on fully sculpted allegorical depiction of the four seasons, these flanking the central centrepiece bowl, on 4 curved and decorated legs, shallow, slightly convex bowl with laterally applied richly decorated handles and surrounding garland decoration, central oval medallions (supplemented), the central bowl flanked by 2 smaller centrepiece bowls with volute feet. the middle bowl flanked by 2 smaller top bowls with volute feet on a round plinth and corresponding decoration, bowls each complete with brass inserts, lower part with metal reinforcement on the underside, total l. 95 cm, gross total weight (without inserts) ca. 20000 g
