Description
Carter Hall (American, b. 1958) Conceptual sound sculpture titled "A Higher Octave". Composed of steel and plexiglass tubes, the sculpture functions as a type of pipe organ that produces sound when electrified. Approx. 93" H x 33" W x 32 1/2" D. 1986. Biography: Carter Hall obtained his Master of Arts degree in 1984 from the University of Tulsa. He won the Grand Award at the 1986 Delta Exhibition at Little Rock's Arkansas Art Center for a similar miniature pipe organ sculpture.
