KENNETH BANKS Signed Fall Ritual Mask Framed, signature to lower right reads ‘Kenneth Banks’, edition number to piece reads ‘9/150’, subject a mask created by native American artist, mask is used during a fall ritual, made from cast gypsum and detailed with beads and feathers, measures 16 1/4 x 20 1/4, window measures 11 1/2 x 15 3/8 inches, black toned composite frame, surface wear to frame, professionally framed and double matted in acid free, not examined out of frame. “Hi, my name is Ken Banks, I am a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Birmingham. I have a studio in Balsall Heath which I share with Andy De Comyn, who is a public artist. In my practice I make paintings, photographs, videos, pen and ink drawings, collage, traditional prints and sculptures. My work is about documenting the seen and the obscure, mapping connections of what seems to be random works, that features coincidental, accidental and unexpected connections.
