Depicts a young girl with curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes dressed in white with a slate blue satin sash around her waist. Nell studied at the Denver School of Art and in New York with George Bellows, Frank DuMond, and William Merritt Chase. She was also a member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Association of Women Artists, with works in the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
