Lee Lufkin Kaula

Impressionist depiction of a floral arrangement in a copper pitcher beside a silver compote displaying red and green grapes while peaches and a small porcelain figure lay scattered on the table. Kaula first studied under Charles Melville Dewey in New York before leaving for Paris in 1894 to study under Edmond Aman-Jean at the Academie Colarossi. Kaula was a member of the Copley Society, the Guild of Boston Artists and the Boston Society of Watercolorists.
