early Chinese bronze chih, possibly Zhou dynasty, pear form with tall splayed foot; four carved hardstone peach form finials; carved figure seated in a garden; metal matchbox with pierced hardstone plaque; two pieces of carved green stone jewelry, ring marked 'China Silver", pin marked :ANJS 18", tallest 4-1/2 x 3-1/2 in.
Provenance: S.G. Gump Co., San Francisco, California (bronze vessel accompanied by letter from the company); Estate of Hortense Huntsberry Loeb, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; by descent in family
