Description
Gorgeous antique hand-painted peach and purple floral tray made in Limoges, France, trimmed in gold. The underglaze decorator's back stamp is J.P. over L. with FRANCE written in a crescent under the initials. It is signed "Leonard" 1904 on the bottom. J.P. is the abbreviation for Jean Pouyat. The L. represents Limoges, France. The Pouyat family was one of the oldest French names connected with porcelain dating back to the 1760s.
