Heavyweight Boxer Joe Frazier Signed One Dollar Bill, Encapsulated
Measuring 6" x 2.5", Washington, D.C., dated Ca. 1969. A Federal Reserve One Dollar Note signed "Joe Frazier" in blue ink. The bill is Series 1969B. Slabbed to the overall size of 8.75" x 5". Light soiling at the edges. Nice and large signature. With a Letter of Authentication from James Spence Authentication.
Joseph William Frazier (1944-2011), nicknamed "Smokin' Joe", was an American professional boxer who competed from 1965 to 1981. He was known for his strength, durability, formidable punching power, and relentless pressure fighting style and was the first boxer to beat Muhammad Ali. Frazier reigned as the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1970 to 1973. Earlier, as an amateur, he won a gold medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics.
