World War 2 US Combat Photos Okinawa (150+pc) B/W Photo collection belonging to USNR Storekeeper 1st Class Benjamin Frank Barrow of Milton, Vermont that includes (39) combat photos of Okinawa, many graphic photos of enemy dead, some of American beachheads and off shore shelling, and 4 labeled by Barrow: (1)"The Famous 'Shuri' Castle where Japanese made last ditch stand in Okinawa;" (1) "The results of a [enemy] suicide attempt to re-take Yantan Airfield on Okinawa; (1) "This area later turned out to be the Sixth Battalion's permanent camp area, Sengan, Okinawa located on north end of island; (1) "This [soldier] died for his honorable ancestors on Okinawa." Most photos 4x5 or 3.5 x 4.5" (3) "King Neptune Ceremonies" as Barrow's ship crossed the Equator, with men listed including "W.F.V.
