Description
A pair of colorful, large Sancai glazed Foo Dogs, 19th Century. Each dog, with mouth wide open, is perched on a high rectangular platform. The male dog faces to his left, with a ball, and the female faces to her right, with a young offspring. Boldly decorated in green, yellow, pink, white.
Overall: H. 14.5" (36.8 cm)
Provenance: Estate of Dr. Silvio Riccio, Internal Medicine Physician, Nanuet, New York, purchased from Windsor Antiques Ltd., Darien, CT, on Aug. 21, 1989, for $2,700.come with original receipt.
Condition: Good condition overall no damage observed
