1839 Dated & Signed American 4-Color Jacquard Coverlet
1839-Dated, American Four-Color Jacquard Coverlet, with "FANCY COVERLET WOVE BY, J HEILBRONN ADELPHI, OHIO 1839," Choice Very Fine.
American, red, white, and blue weave with double rose and stars motifs, border depicts birds, buildings, and flowers, corner blocks signed, "FANCY COVERLET WOVE BY J HEILBRONN ADELPHI OHIO 1839". Two loom widths joined as usual measuring 73" x 65" (not including fringe). A nice and scarce Jacquard Coverlet having some minor fringe loss, binding worn along one edge, yet overall attractive with nice eye appeal for display. Provenance stated as Ex: Western Reserve Historical Society.
