A picturesque landscape painting depicting two figures rowing a boat in a tranquil lake on the north coast of Wales, with birds flying overhead and Conwy Mountain in the distance, as several figures accompanied by their trusty dog collect twigs to build a fire on shore. The golden foliage of this quaint autumnal scene warms the heart. A fine painting of a lovely location in Conwy (Conway in English) - a historic stone-walled town in North Wales graced by Conwy Mountain, the River Conwy, and a network of lovely lakes - replete with impressive artistry and technique. Notice the label from the Maria Antoville Gallery on the verso. This adds another layer of history to this painting. In the early 1950s, Maria and Anthony Antoville opened an art gallery called the Henri Antoville Gallery located on Madison Avenue between 63rd and 64th Streets in the early 1950s. Following Anthony's passing in 1954, Maria changed the name of the art gallery to the Maria Antoville Gallery and it was located at the Gallery 63.
