Rare Prehistoric Native American Caddoan Mississippian Culture Fine-ware Pottery Bottle.Type: Fine clay-grit / sand tempered coiled redware ceramic bottle with applique and punctations: Excellent example of a Maxey Noded Redware bottle with punctated applique. Decorations: Bottle has three sets of oval nodes running vertically (with slant) from its neck bottom across the body, each set consisting of three rows of nodes between which are slit fingernail punctations also running vertically. Also with slit fingernail punctations around the top of the body. Sanders variety.Culture: Caddoan Mississippian CultureDate / Period: Early Caddoan Period (ca. A.D. 800-1200).Location: Caddoan Mississippian Region - Lamar County, Texas.Size: Approx.
