Description
Chinese Export Porcelain Fitzhugh pattern plate in Sepia. Painted in the center with five characteristic clusters of flowers and scrolls within a diapered border. The upturned rim with an elaborate border of formalized butterflies, leaves and patterns. All in sepia with a gilt-enameled edge. Measures 9.75" in diameter. NOTE: 3 minor 1/4" to 3/4" glaze hairlines on the underside. Retains original Parke-Bernet auction label and Plummer & Co label. Ex. collection of Lucile and Robert H. Gries, Parke-Bernet Auction 1970.
