Circa late 1890’s serial No. 660867. The Q mechanism has good nickel plating with some loss on the base. Reproducer is original with good stylus. What makes this ordinary phonograph exceptional is its fancy base upon which this machine sits. These were offered by Sears and Roebuck around 1909. Many reproductions have been made but this one is an exception being made from steel and having aged nickel plating. Comes with a reproduction glass horn. When this glass is put under light, it has a beautiful pattern as if filled with smoke. The crane holding the horn is reproduction.
