Description

Pair of American Late Classical Mahogany Stools

second quarter 19th century, with scrolled X-form ends joined by a turned stretcher and fitted with a padded cushion seat.
h. 18-1/2", w. 19", d. 16-1/2"

Condition

Both are in very good condition. One stool has an old glued repair to one leg but is strong and sturdy. Minor veneer chips to the framing edge just below the seat cushion. They appear to retain an old finish. They are identical. The photo was taken with one shown at an angle. Their tops are original with the exception of the seat coverings.
