Description

A fine commemorative certificate honoring the maiden voyage of the RMS Queen Mary, a British ocean liner of the famed Cunard Line. With the outbreak of World War II the ship was converted into a troop transport, yet returned to commercial service after its conclusion. The certificate is 1p. 10 x 14.5 in., London, May 27, 1936, stating that William G. Meek was aboard the inaaugeral voyage from Southhampton, to Cherbourg, to New York City. Lightly toned, with minor edgewear else good condition.
