A large relic from the famous USS Constitution, a 14 x 4 x 4 in. section of wood recovered from the hull during its 1927 restoration with two original copper pins still present. Pins are slightly loose and 6 and 7 in. respectfully. A small brass plaque affixed to the front of the section reads 'USS Frigate Constitution wood with copper pins from 1927 restoration. Pins are moderately oxidized while wood section is holed and jagged.
