Description
Passport issued to an Austrian merchant named Hans Felix Bettleheim, bearing a large red 'J' on the first page. The 'reisepass' was issued to 30-year-old Bettelheim in Vienna on February 13, 1939, and still bears his identification photograph. The following page contains his personal information. Page nine shows he was granted passage to Australia via the United Kingdom and left London on March 11, 1939, via the RMS Otranto. Pages 12 and 13 bear stamps of his arrival at the Port of Colombo and finally at Freemantle on April 11, 1939. Bettelheim would live in Australia until is death in 1965. Fine condition.
