Titled,'Two Putti in the Night Sky Under a Bright Star', brush and brown ink and wash with white heightening on card stock.Theodor Von Deschwanden was a cousin of Paul Melchior Deschwanden (1811-1881) who had studied with Peter von Cornelius and Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld in the 1830s and became a follower of the Catholic Nazarene artist Friedrich Overbeck. Condition commensurate with age. Overall size: 20 x 16 in. Sight size: 12 x 7 5/8 in.
