The style of this bespoke gold lame and black brocade evening suit places it in the late 1950s/early 1960s era. The workmanship and the fabrics are superb, indicating that it was made for a high end client. The cropped jacket has no collar, three-quarter length sleeves, and closes with five self-covered buttons. The pencil skirt has a darted waist with no waistband, hidden back zipper and walking vent. Both pieces are lined in black silk. No size label is present, but based on the measurements we are estimating if to be about a size 8 or 10.
