Finely embroidered on the front and back panels in with nine five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, leaping amidst clouds interspersed with the eight Buddhist emblems (bajixiang), above a hem of roiling waves, within similarly decorated black silk borders and gold braid repeated on the horsehoof cuffs, with black corded sleeve extensions, all picked out in shades of blue, yellow, green and purple against a reddish-orange ground.
