Joseph Holdcroft Majolica Pink-Ground Shell and Pond Lily Four-Pocket Oyster Plate
Circa 1875
Unmarked, black painted lozenge
The central well in turquoise, lined in yellow, flanked by paired scallop shells glazed in a deep pink, divided by budding and blossoming water lilies, the underside mottled in brown and green. Width 9 1/4 inches.
