Baby carrier made of indigo dyed and calendared hand woven cotton fabric decorated with hand stitched silk embroidery in a pattern of water whirlpools; a protective talisman in the form of a puppet is hanging at the center. Miao People, Southern Guizhou Province, Sandu County, China. Size: 31'' x 28'', (79 x 71 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
