Description
Zhuang Head Covering, China, Late 19th C. Woman's head covering textile, Southeastern Yunnan Province, Wenshan County, late 19th century. Silk and cotton, combination of woven and embroidered work in shades of dark indigo, blue, green, gold, beige, brown and rust with silk tassels on both ends. Center 3 panels have different diamond patterns. Size: 15'' x 56'', (38 x 142 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
