Zhuang Jacket, China, Early to Mid 20th C. Medium length, side closing woman's jacket, with four large cloth elements filled with sewn-on silver ornaments in raised roundel shape. These elements are attached to the jacket ground over breast and back, exposing triangular and diamond shaped sections. Cotton tabby, commercial satin, silver roundels and pendants. Zhuang People, Yunnan Province, China. Size: 24'' x 45'', (61 x 114 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
