Antique Hani Akha Ceremonial Headdress, China. Elaborate headdress formed on a cotton cloth cap with rows of silver semispherical buttons separated by white-heart glass beads and edged with sewn-on glass beads and looped bead strands. Back piece of silver sheet hammered in repousse. Cotton cloth, sheet silver, coins, glass beads, wool. Hani Akha People,Southeastern Yunnan Province, Hong He Delta, China, early 20th c. Size: 8.75'' x 10'' x 8'' (22 x 25 x 20 cm). Stand not included. Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
