Civilian Conservation Corp Wool Garrison/Side Cap Circa 1940sOne of the most popular programs in President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal proved to be the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The program's goal was to conserve the country's natural resources while providing jobs for young men. The Civilian Conservation Corps was a voluntary public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployed, unmarried men ages 18–25 and eventually expanded to ages 17–28. Projects included environmental conservation and infrastructure creation. A division of the CCC was created that employed Native Americans to make infrastructure improvements to the reservation territories. Cond: inscription on sweatband. Size: Length- 11 inches.
