Description

A rare, British Ordinance stamped, tapered leg pine stand with a single board top and a hinged door rather than a drawer in the deep skirt. In an early dry soft yellow paint over the original light grey. Interestingly, the back skirt is stamped with the British Ordinance broad arrow mark indicating use by the military. Good as-found condition, pegged base, cast iron hinges and original brass knob on the door. Ontario, early 19th century. H: 28"; W/L 18"; D/P: 17". FRANCAIS: Rare table militaire en pin Ã patte effilÃ©e, plateau Ã une seule planche et une porte Ã charniÃ¨re plutÃ´t qu'un tiroir dans la profonde jupe. Peinture jaune pÃ¢le sÃ¨che sur le gris clair d'origine. La jupe arriÃ¨re est estampillÃ©e de la large flÃ¨che de l'ordonnance britannique indiquant son utilisation par l'armÃ©e.
