Description

An oil on canvas of a matched pair of horses with flowing manes pulling a sleigh and driver on a wintry road. Found in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, circa 1875. Ex Wolf Schlomb collection. Restoration includes two patches on the back, cleaning and re-varnishing. Dimensions (with frame, avec encadrement), 28" x 21.5". FRANCAIS: Huile sur toile d’une paire de chevaux à la crinière fluide tirant un traîneau, sur une route hivernale. Restauration: deux rapiècement au dos, le nettoyage et le revernissage. Trouvé dans la vallée d'Annapolis, N.-É., circa 1875. Ex-collection Wolf Schlomb.
