Signed possibly by Masanaga and Kunimitsu and sealed,
Japan, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The fine silver frame in the form of bamboo with hinged doors intricately pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage and inlaid with panels decorated in Shibayama style with birds and butterflies amongst chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, irises and wisteria, the interior section with shelves and drawers decorated in nashiji and gold hiramaki-e,
