Description
Grouping of (2) interesting trunks from the Late 19th-Early 20th century, including a primitive dovetailed painted wood blanket box stenciled 1861, and an Anglo-Indian painted metal steamer trunk with label remnant of Indian metalwork company Samsudin Tajbhai inside. Dimensions: (Blanket chest) H 12" x W 29" x D 16" Condition: Blanket chest with reinforcements made to inside of top, hinges likely replaced, and wear including losses to paint, gouges, scratches, small losses and splits to wood. Metal chest with normal wear including some paint loss, oxidation, and a few dents to metal.
Condition
All the items in this auction remain at our Annex Gallery location in Bridgeport, CT for pickup. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Wednesday, November 17th - Friday, November 26th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
