Le Vacher a Fescamp, a Louis XV Boulle work cartel clock, the turtle shell veneer case with fretted and engraved brass inlay, gilt, foliate ornamented mounts, the removable top surmounted by a gilt figure of cupid on a cloud, cast kidney shaped door with figure of Venus reclining on a dolphin at bottom, gilt, cast dial with applied roman numeral white enamel cartouches and enamel drop below 6:00 with makers signature, nicely finished blued steel hands, 8 day, two train movement with rectangular plates, five knopped pillars, and count wheel striking, now with Brocot escapement and other modifications, with Boulle work bracket

dirty, case and shelf veneers with checking and losses, brass inlay with lifting and some losses, all mounts lacking gilding, top front mount detached, case with repaired breaks, cupid's arrow replaced, dial with polish residue, cartouches with some discoloration, 30 and 60 minute markers with cracks, 45 minute marker replaced, signature cartouche with hairlines, hands good, movement with alterations, dirty, oily, ticks and strikes, pendulum replaced, strike hammer missing ACCESSORIES: Shelf, Pendulum, Trim Piece, Top
