Andre Hambourg (1909-1999): A French born artist who received worldwide acclaim, like very few others, in his lifetime, and his name is still synonymous with the highest class of his countries art. Of his works, that hang in more than 50 museums, he is most well known for his landscapes and still life. His career began at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs and continued at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and would culminate in being awarded the Cross of the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, France's highest tribute. Today his magnificent works continued to applauded by critics and collectors alike as they are exhibited in these esteemed collections.
