Description
Greece, Macedon, Philip II, ca. 359 to 336 BCE. A choice silver AR tetradrachm coin that was Pella minted circa 341 to 337 BCE. Obverse: Laureate head of Zeus right. Reverse: horseman riding right, holding palm branch and bridle; below, thunderbolt and in exergue, N. Compare to SNG ANS 385. Le Rider 233b. Size: 1.02" W (2.6 cm); silver quality: 99%; weight: 14.4 grams
