Description
A Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition tapestry by Edith Park Martin. It was on loan to the museum by Mrs. Alastair Bradley Martin (Edith Park Martin). It is a petitpoint and gros point designed by Mrs Martin after a painting by Archibald Thorburn of pheasants. It is wool and silk on double canvas. Label on verso for Mr. Sugden Registrar for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Mrs. Alastair B. Martin, Glen Head Long Island, NY. In frame it measures 41" x 32". Signed EPM lower right.
