Provenance/Additional Info: Paisley Shaw c. 1800 to 1850 ex-collection of Smithsonian Museum, Textile Department volunteer. Purchased in Virginia in the 1940s. 73" x 72". Note: Other than the following note the condition is excellent. Note: The center black area has some repairs across the center where it had been folded and the top edge is folded under about 4 inches hiding the top border and fringe. Also there is a torn hole with some missing fabric along the top edge, (see picture). Please examine the picture carefully.
