Description
2 Hand Colored Engravings Ship Signals, the first for Day Plate 24 and the second for night Plate 23, signed in plate "Benard Fect.", the print titled 'Marine, signaux de correspondance Maritime'; from the 'Marine' section of Diderot & d'Alembert: "Encyclopedie, ou Dictionnaire Raisonne des Sciences, des Arts et des Metiers" circa 1770. Mounted in a triple colored mat and framed in gilt wood. Height of frame 20 inches (50.5 cm.) X width of frame 15 inches (38 cm.). NOTE: From a group of framed antique hand colored prints purportedly removed from a redecoration of "The Colony Club, New York" most with the words 'Colony Club' and location codes to reverse.

Light age related wear, not examined out of frames which have slight wear.
