Snowy Christmas Landscape Painting by Frances Hooghkirk. This oil painting is signed by Frances Bell Hooghkirk. It depicts a winter day, with snow cascading over houses and mountaintops. It is signed "Hooghkirk" in the bottom right corner. It has an off-white frame with an ornate inner border. On verso, it has the painting title, Christmas Sunday, alongside a clipping from the newspaper "Scarsdale Inquirer" with a small bio about the artist, who was an art professor at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. The newspaper clipping is from December 9th, 1949, making this painting over 70 years old.

Dimensions are 22.75 in h x 19.5 in w x 1.5 in d. Condition is very good. There is minor surface wear to the front. The paper backing is ripped. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
