Two framed letters. Lot includes:
- 18x11 cm (7x4½") handwritten letter on stationary of the Reform Club, one of the original London gentleman's clubs, framed in double-sided glass and signed by Thompson.
- 22.5x18 cm (9x7") handwritten letter on his personal stationary from his home at 35 Wimpole Street, London, framed in double-sided glass and signed by Thompson.
Sir Henry Thompson was a British surgeon, baronet, reformer, novelist, and a painter who had several sketches accepted in the Paris Salon. His legacy, however, lies in his medical work in the genito-urinary tract.
Condition
Not examined out of frame; adhesive mark to verso of letters; folding creases in larger letter; very good.
