The canvas is unlined and retains its original stretchers. The paint surface is slightly dirty. The white pigments in the sky appear to have yellowed as a result of surface grime and there are pindots of surface accretion visible in the top left and right quadrants of the painting. There is very minor frame abrasion visible along the extreme edges. Upon inspection under ultraviolet light, while some of the white and light blue pigments fluoresce, these appear original to the artist's hand. There are no visibly apparent signs of inpainting or other forms of restoration.
