The canvas is unlined and retains its original stretchers. There is a thin cardboard backing that has been placed between the reverse of the canvas and the stretchers. There are faint undulations to the surface throughout. There is minor frame abrasion visible along the extreme edges. Upon inspection under ultraviolet light, there are no visibly apparent signs of inpainting or other forms of restoration.
