Description
A German horseman's hammer, circa 1600Slightly curved, quadrangular beak, the hammer head with circular and conical sides. A belt clasp inset at the side of the socket. Partially twisted, round and lightly chiselled iron haft. The handle with corded, iron wire winding and two petal-shaped rondels, the upper one with an aperture for a lanyard. Lateral guards and a smith's mark on one side. Length 50 cm.Condition: II
