Description
An antique Russian book by Andrey Globa. Lifetime edition with original woodcuts by V.A. Favorsky. The state publishing house, Moscow, 1923. Original cover. 100 pp. The plot of the tragedy Famar was the biblical story of how Amnon, the son of King David, inflamed with an irresistible passion for his sister Famar (in the Hebrew transliteration - Tamar), dishonored her and fell at the hands of his brother Avsalom (Avshalom). In terms of style, Andrei Globa clearly gravitates towards Acmeism.
