An attractive silver and Lapis pill box with assay purity and date marks of Iraq. The stunning deep blue stone on lid appears to be genuine lapis with small disseminated metallic pieces in it, but could possibly be a high quality synthetic lapis, Iraqi assay purity marks for 800/1000 on both top and bottom parts of the box, date mark present (we are unfamiliar with Iraqi dates but possibly from late 1940’s early 1950’s), size 2 in. long x 1 3/8 in. wide x ¾ in. thick, condition is very good with age appropriate wear.
