A beautiful oil on canvas with a heavy wood frame carved in tiers of gold color, a very elegant frame color for a nice painting. You can see a writing in the lower right by looking at the painting and it says (G A Williams), the painting has a very striking color appearance and reflects harmony and tranquility. The paint is slightly smooth. The reverse has a wooden top in very good condition and a brown ribbon around the reverse, a beautiful oil on canvas that you cannot miss with a very nice and heavy wooden frame with very elegant earrings.

George Augustus Williams (May 4, 1814 - May 26, 1901) was an English landscaper during the Victorian era and a member of the Williams family of painters. George Augustus painted river landscapes of the Thames, moonlit landscapes, seascapes, and views of Kent, Wales, and elsewhere. After having four children, George and Caroline moved to Barnes, London, a stone's throw from the Thames, where they lived for over fifty years.

No doubt George inherited her artistic talents from him, as did hers from his brothers, hers from her father. However, his work on him is different from that of the other members of his family. His paintings of him were mainly exhibited on Suffolk Street, as well as at the Royal Academy from 1841 onwards, the British Institution, and elsewhere.
