Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Wanli Blue and White Alum Red Fish Grass Porcelain Cups. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue and alum red fine color, depicted of carp swim through sea grass and water plants. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double blue rings lines. Made in The Years WanLi Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
